A Fabulous Journey into Historical Wonderland

Day 1 Arrive Casablanca. Transfer to hotel for dinner and overnight.	Day 2 Rabat Morning visit of bustling Casablanca, one of the largest ports in Africa. City tour includes a ride along the ocean-front or Corniche, and a stop at the newly-completed Hassan II mosque. Lunch at hotel or local restaurant. Short drive to Rabat for city tour of historical attractions. Dinner and overnight at hotel.
Day 3 Fes After breakfast, set out for Meknes via the cork-forest road to visit the massive ramparts and King Moulay Ismael mosque and stables built to accommodate 12,000 horses. Lunch at Hotel Transatlantique. Continue on to Fes via holy city of Moulay Idriss and Roman town of Volubilis. Dinner and overnight at hotel.	Day 4 Fes Take a step back into biblical times and spend all day exploring the ancient Fes medina,with its artisans' guilds, old inns, and Karaouyne University and mosque. Lunch in the medina. Half board at hotel.
Day 5 Fes All day free to browse and shop in the medina for handicrafts or rugs	Day 6 Marrakech A long, yet beautiful drive takes you to Marrakech via Beni Mellal, at the heart of Morocco's agricultural region. Cross the cedar forest in the Atlas Mountains, the ski resort of Ifrane and the Berber village of Azrou, famous for its Berber rugs. (Optional detour by Afourer lake and cascades at Ouzoud extra.) Arrival in Marrakech via the large palm grove for dinner and overnight at hotel.
Day 7 Marrakech Morning free at leisure. Lunch at hotel or medina. Afternoon visit of colorful souks and handicraft guilds and famed Djema el Fna Square with its folkloric activities. Dinner at leisure. Overnight at hotel	Day 8 Marrakech Morning tour of the kasbah with visit to the Bahia Palace, Dar Si Said folk museum and Saadian Tombs. Lunch in deluxe Oriental restaurant (extra). Afternoon free. Dinner and folklore show under a tribal tent in the heart of the Marrakech palmgrove. Overnight at hotel.
Day 9 Taroudant Drive to this ancient Berber stronghold via the spectacular Atlas Mountain road. Arrive in time for lunch, weather permitting. Half board????	Day 10 Taroudant Explore this beautiful city at leisure, on foot or by horse-drawn carriage. Optional visit to kasbah of Tiout and its walled citadel.
Day 11 Tafraout Scenic drive to this spectacular mountain kasbah for dinner and overnight at Hotel les Amandiers.	Day 12 Essaouira (ex-Mogador) Drive via the mountain fortress of Tiznit and Agadir beach resort, where you may stop for an optional lunch. Cross the forest of argan trees with tree-climbing goats. Spend the night in beachside town of Essaouira, an ancient Portuguese stronghold. Visit the woodcarvers famous for beautiful inlaid wood objects. Dinner and overnight at Hotel des Iles or exquisite Villa Maroc.
Day 13 Casablanca Head north via the port of Safi and its potters' village. See the lovely lagoon at Oualidia, and the Portuguese citadel of El Jadida, as well as the beautiful ramparts of Azemmour, a town overlooking the River Oum er Rbia. Lunch at leisure. Dinner and overnight in Casablanca.	Day 14 Transfer to point of departure.
