HAVE YOU EVER THOUGHT OF THE COUNTRY IN THE FOLLOWING CONNECTION?

Botanical, Agricultural or Horticultural groups:

Morocco's Mediterranean climate and varied landscape nurtures a varied flora from experimental plantings to rare desert vegetation.

Archaeological, Museum and Antiquarians Groups:

Morocco is home to numerous vestiges of Phoenician, Roman, Carthaginian, Portuguese, and Spanish cultures. The Roman ruins of Volubilis, Lixus, and Sala Colonia are the most notable. Essaouira, Safi, El Jadida and Azemmour were once important Portuguese strongholds which have recently been restored. Talk with local experts.

Romantic Sahara Honeymoon:

What could be more romantic than spending a honeymoon in such enchanting surroundings at your own private oasis on the edge of the Sahara in a Bedouin tent.?

Skiing:

Barely two hours from Marrakech you will find the third highest peak in Africa. Well developed ski resorts include the Oukaimeden in the High Atlas, and the gentle slopes of the Michliffen in the Middle Atlas. Snowfall isn't guaranteed but the season usually lasts from Christmas until Easter.

Deep Sea or Fresh Water Fishing:

Boats rentals out of major ports. Bring your own equipment, however. Numerous lakes filled with trout, black bass and other fish dot the country. Fishing season is regulated by law.

Horse Riding Treks:

Discover the Middle Atlas on horseback with specialized outfits or riding clubs.

Bird Watching:

Pink flamingoes in the desert or majestic European storks, Morocco shelters them all. There are several large bird sanctuaries across the country.

Farm Study Tours:

Morocco is the "breadbasket" of Europe with its extensive acreages of cereal, citrus, strawberries, and exotic crops such as avocados, persimmons and cherimoyas.

Hunting/Shooting:

Details upon request. Wild boar and partridge are still found in the Middle Atlas.

Potholing/Speleology:

Specialized clubs organize these expeditions

Tennis:

Morocco's ideal climate is perfect for tennis and other tournaments. Many tennis clubs exist throughout the country

Architecture and Design:

Morocco holds treasures of Moorish Andalusian architecture indoors and out; in the Sahara regions, adobe (mud and straw-built) villages or kasbahs are of special interest to architects. Visit local experts.

Jewish heritage tours:

The Jews have a centuries-old presence in Morocco, and many Muslims and Sephardic Jews still worship at the same shrines. Ancient synagogues still welcome visitors in the Atlas Mountains, Marrakech, Fes, Casablanca, Azemmour, and other cities. A small but active Jewish community exists throughout the country.

Trekking mountaineering and eco-tourism:

Trekking is a fast-growing trend in soft-adventure travel, and in Morocco several well-equipped companies specialize in treks into the Middle and High Atlas Mountains, the Saharan Anti Atlas, Djebel Sirwa and Sargho to visit the land of the Berbers. Stay with local inhabitants, or in "refuge", mountain cabins built by the French. Treks take place on foot, mule or horseback, or by Land Rover. Exciting desert safaris usually feature camels. Starting points may be Marrakech, Beni Mellal, Agadir or Zagora. All equipment is supplied. Discover the High Atlas with experienced guides. Trekking in the High Atlas is sometimes compared to Himalayan treks. Summits top 4000 meters. The exquisite vistas at every twist of the trail are matched only by the friendliness of local inhabitants. Please write us for details.
